New Number for U.S. Embassy in Paris

The following communication has been received from Robert F. Hannan, Jr., Chief of the NIV Unit of the U.S. Embassy in Paris:

We are pleased to announce that our new contractor for providing user-pay telephone coverage has just gone on-line. The new telephone number is: 08.99.70.37.00. This number can only be called from within France. There is a charge for calls made to this number.

Please disregard any old numbers you have for United States visa processing information in France. Currently, this is a series of recorded messages relaying information about our procedures. In the future, the contractor is envisioning a "live operator" service.
