Expedited Naturalization for Active Duty Service Members

A July 3, 2002 Executive Order allows noncitizens serving in active duty status in the U.S. Armed Forces, during the period starting 9/11/01 and ending when so ordered by the President, to be eligible for naturalization under INA section 329. That provision waives certain requirements for naturalization, including the residence and physical presence requirements.
