U.S. Immigration Welcomes Professional Athletes but Not Professional Engineers, Computer Scientists and Teachers
We wanted to share this with the public to discuss. While there is an annual cap of 65,000 H-1B visas for professional engineers, computer scientists and teachers, there is no cap for professional athletes. While we welcome the athletes, as a nation, where are our priorities? The H-1B Cap for professionals was met on the first day of filing. There should be no cap. The law should be the same for professional engineers and professional athletes. For related story, please see

H-1B Cap Met
Unsurprisingly, the H-1B cap was met on the first day of filing.

We encourage business owners to contact Congress to push for an increase in the cap. The massive numbers of filings during the first day alone demonstrate the need for workers that exists in this country.
